We had a really really nice stay, the hotel was nicely decorated, spotless, with good location to the venician port where there is a pretty lively night life. Truly enjoyed the a la carte restaurant and its excellant cuisine

Comfortable outdoor lounging available .
Parking was a real hassle , with limited spots available . We also found the bar prices outrageously expensive for the quality of drinks served. To make matters worse, the air conditioning unit was difficult to use, especially with the balcony door being opened and closed frequently.

The staff were very kind and helpful, the breakfast is delicious, the hotel itself is beautiful and the walk to Rethymno is not long and nice
Would be nice to have towels changed more often

Had a sweet as time, eh? Staff were awesome, really friendly. Felt a bit noisy at times from nearby rooms, and the food selection could've done with some more options. But the beach access was a real highlight!

We loved the location on the beach. It could not have been better than to walk across the road to the beach. There were many restaurants in the area and several good restaurants were recommended to us by the reception staff. All staff were friendly, helpful, and efficient. The wait staff at breakfast were exceptional in providing service to so many guests every morning. The hotel was easy to get to from the E75 highway. Parking was not a problem on the street or at the end of Beach Rd. The hotel was clean and well laid out. The breakfast was terrific, especially the fresh-squeezed orange juice, and enabled all the guests to get a good healthy start on the day. The pool was large enough to accommodate everyone in a very attractive setting. The Folk/Cultural night was wonderful. It introduced us to Greek song and dance. The musicians were excellent and the dancers were great, especially when they got the audience to come up and dance. It is unusual for a hotel to offer this type of entertainment and it makes the Sentido hotels unique in this respect. The concept of offering 2 hotels sharing one property was unique. It offered a more budget-minded option for those of us who could not afford the higher priced hotel (Aegean). We felt the price was right at the Pearl Beach in terms of the location and services that were offered. We would recommend it to others who may visit Crete in the future.
There are only a few things that need improvement. We discovered that the towels were not refreshed everyday unless used towels were left on the shower floor. We had to inquire to find that out. Fresh towels are almost always provided as a matter of course at most hotels. The soap provided in the bathroom was not refreshed, either. We spent 4 nights at Pearl Beach with 2 small soaps which grew smaller each day. No new soap was ever replenished during that time and we could have used it. Fortunately, we brought soap from home. The room was fine with the exeption of the floor. It is very attractive to have a wood floor in a hotel room. Our floor, however, was not terribly clean. I hesitated to walk around barefoot because the floor felt as though it had not been scrubbed for awhile. I realize that it is difficult to keep the floors thoroughly clean with traffic coming and going from the sandy beach and from the pool area. However, we suggest that you make an effort to clean the room floors more often. If possible, we would also recommend relocating the towel racks so they are not placed directly above the toilet. We didn't have any incidents, but we can see how a towel could easily fall into the loo!

Where it excels and where it fails
The location is fantastic, right along the beachfront with a variety of restaurants and shops nearby. Breakfast offered diverse options that helped kickstart the day energetically.
Room cleanliness was inconsistent, with unemptied trash noted. Noise disturbances affected sleep quality from both neighboring rooms and external sources.

Here's my unfiltered experience
Great location right on the beach, surrounded by numerous restaurants and shops. The room was slightly small, but I loved the balcony view overlooking the charming courtyard. Breakfast offered various options, ensuring a good start to the day. Just a bit of a walk to the old town, but enjoyable with scenic views.

The pool closed too early, unacceptable, especially after a long day. I also encountered expensive drinks-the bar poured from a half-finished bottle like i was some kind of charity case. And don't even get me started on the air conditioning. I expected more than just basic amenities for my stay.

I just had an amazing time with delicious meals and the option to swap dinner for lunch when needed! It was such a nice touch that they really cared for how I felt during my stay. A downside was the limited Wi-Fi access in rooms, which could definitely improve my experience.

I loved the breakfast-so many options, especially the fresh orange juice to squeeze! The pool area was always clean and had plenty of sunbeds. Unfortunately, the shower had some limescale buildup that needed attention.
